Inter Agro 2014. Ukrainian Ag Equipment market: forecast for tomorrow?

"Inter Agro 2014". Ukrainian Ag Equipment market: forecast for tomorrow?

How do Ukrainian Ag equipment importers fight with market decline? Which segments the biggest demand? Why these promo tools are the most efficient, when marketing belts are fully tightened? All these topics were discussed at the round table within "InterAgro 2014" show. The market experts - New Holland, Lemken, Kuhn representatives had a free and open discussion with the major market players and dedicated professional mass-media. The round table was initiated by MARCOM agency and Valeriy Berlet, director of the company, became the discussion moderator.

Almost 300 plants - world-wide leaders of the Ag equipment market, which play the main fiddle on the globe, participated in the show at "Kyiv Expo Plaza" complex on over 30 000 sq. m. including: "Amazone", "Berthoud Agricole", "Case IH", "Caterpillar", "Claas", "Deutz Fahr", "Great Plains", "Horsch", "Maschio Gaspardo", "John Deere", "Kuhn", "Kockerling", "Lemken", "New Holland",  "Poettinger", "Vaderstad" companies. On the top of equipment demo, the companies participated in the round table initiated by MARCOM agency.

Further to market expers, the core reason for almost 40% market decline and the major industry problems are: political instability and military actions at Russian border, a few industry investments, limited bank credits available to farmers, the used equipment share growth vs new equipment share decline, price competition and damping among local dealers, decrease of the dealer's profit - and, as a result, financial base decline, which hampers further growth. Following MARCOM analysts, by the end of 2014, the Ukrainian market volume will though exceed $500 mln. The dealers will gradually refocus from image promotion to personal selling. Thus, the field demonstrations with dedicated events will be the most efficient promo tools within 2015-2016 period.
